The Hospital is a national tertiary referral centre for specialised services including maternal and foetal medicine, neonatology, gynaecology and anaesthesia.

The Hospital has a substantial academic portfolio in terms of multidisciplinary education, research and training. The Hospital hosts two University Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the National Cervical Cytology Training Centre and the Hub Centre for continuing Midwifery education in the Greater Dublin area; the Research Laboratory in the hospital campus is a leading European Centre for molecular biology research.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified staff for the following position:

Grade VII – Clinical Risk Manager – Permanent Full Time 

Working within the Quality and Patient Safety Directorate and reporting to the Quality Manager, the postholder will have responsibility for Clinical Risk and Claims Management across the Coombe Women & Infants University Hospital (CWIUH). 

Candidates must have at the latest date of application

  • An academic award in Risk Management or Quality in Healthcare at level 7 (or higher) on the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) framework or equivalent. or A professional qualification in medical midwifery, nursing or healthcare services. 
  • 5 years relevant healthcare experience
  • Significant experience of working in a medical, healthcare, midwifery or nursing post that has involved patient safety, quality improvement, risk management, incident management and system analyses reviews as relevant to this role.
  • Experience of incident management and system analysis reviews
