Our finance team has started the search for a Cost Business Partner to join the Aviva Ireland Life Finance Operations, Control & MI Team.

The role reports directly to the Senior Manager of the Finance Operations & Control team and supports the development of a cost-conscious culture across all Ireland Life Business Functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing a 3-year plan and quarterly forecasting models, reporting to Senior Stakeholders and Group

  • Completing month-end expense reporting & MI, using Excel, PowerPoint and other finance systems

  • Reviewing, challenging and analysing expenses and variances against Plan and Prior Year in order to sign-off on the accuracy of month-end figures

  • Assisting the business in determining the appropriate allocation of expenses, as well as ensuring all balance sheet items are reviewed on a monthly basis

  • Supporting the wider team to ensure all FP&A and Internal MI activities are accurately and efficiently completed

  • Building and maintaining a controlled and efficient expense process to help minimise risks

Skills & Experiences:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or studying towards qualification would be beneficial

  • Extensive cost management and reporting and/or financial accounting experience

  • Validated experience of stakeholder management

  • A robust Finance Analyst background

  • High attention to detail with an analytical and inquisitive mind-set

  • Sophisticated Excel & PowerPoint skills
