We are working with a global award winning accountancy/management consultancy who through expansion of existing accounts and new business wins are on the look out for Cyber Security Talent. 

Their cyber security practice is one of the fastest growing areas of their business with significant ambition for the future through additional recruitment and acquisition. As part of their cyber team you will be managing cyber operations teams and projects delivering advisory and technical support to help our clients to improve their cyber security posture and respond to the dynamic nature of cyber security threats. You will provide security domain expertise and utilise your business insight to work closely with our clients to advise, design, build and deploy pragmatic security solutions that will provide real and tangible benefits to protect their organisations.

Types of activities for this role include the following:

  • Leading teams to deliver security change in complex client organisations and environments (IT, OT, Cloud IoT etc);
  • Contributing to business development, training and mentoring, and service definition and delivery;
  • Organise and oversee all client security operations including the management of resources within the security team including security officers, architects and analysts;
  • Security risk management activities and including identifying and reviewing client security risks, advising on treatment in line with organisational risk appetite and IT and business priorities;
  • Monitor and maintain client compliance with necessary legislation and regulations
  • Develop and maintenance of client policies, standards and procedures in relation to security.
  • Deliver security architectural and design reviews for the clients to ensure and maintain ‘security by design’ principles across the lifecycle of business and IT projects.
  • Oversight of client security operations across – threat intelligence, vulnerability management, SIEM offences, access controls, training and awareness and other security controls domains as necessary.
  • Manage major security incidents on behalf of the client and liaising with relevant incident response stakeholders.
  • Implementing ongoing review of a relevant portfolio of client security performance metrics;
  • Defining, monitoring and escalating client security compliance across the supplier and partner landscape;
  • Oversee client auditing and reporting of the security control framework for audit purposes.
  • Client governance reporting including threat landscape and controls posture to senior management;
  • Programme management to mature client cybersecurity capabilities by implementing people, process or technological improvements in alignment with IT and business objectives.
  • Manage and control client budgets for security operations staffing, expenses and projects;
  • Building and developing relationships with senior cyber professionals and other relevant stakeholders.


  • A track record of leading and managing a cybersecurity operations team in the delivery of BAU support activities and projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Knowledge and experience on security governance, compliance and audit
  • Cyber risk management, analysis, assessment, evaluation and treatment
  • Ability to define security strategies and translate to tactical and operational goals.
  • Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures
  • Controlling budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
  • Knowledge of security risks and controls in Cloud platforms as well as on-prem and network infrastructures.
  • Recruiting, training and supervising security officers and guards


This role is expected to have relevant experience obtained within a variety of IT and IT Security related roles.

  • Proven experience of 5+ years as a security operations manager or similar position
  • Proven experience in cyber risk to both business processes and supporting technology
  • Development and implementation of security key performance indicators
  • Maintenance of security policies, standards and procedures aligned to legal and regulatory landscape
  • Experience using relevant Cloud, on-prem and networking technology and equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Incident and breach response management and reporting
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and financial management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Broad knowledge of the security product market and toolsets (SIEM, PAM, MDM, Vulnerability Management etc.)
  • Knowledge of security standards and regulations (e.g. ISO, SoC, NIST, PCI, NISD, GDPR etc.)
  • Identity and Access Management/ Privileged Access Management
  • Security Project management and delivery experience (Prince2 certification an advantage)
  • Must be CISSP &/or CISM certified
