The National Disability Authority (NDA), is the independent statutory body that provides information and evidence informed advice to the Government on policy and practice relevant to the lives of persons with disabilities. Our functions include undertaking and commissioning research, developing and collaborating on the development of relevant statistics; assisting in the development of standards, codes and employment of persons with disabilities in the public service and to monitor compliance as required.
We work through our Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD) to promote the universal design of the built environment, products, services and information and communication technologies so that they can be easily accessed, understood and used by everyone, including persons with disabilities.
The NDA is recruiting for the following position:
Executive Officer, Research & Policy Assistant, Permanent, Full-Time
The National Disability Authority (NDA) wishes to appoint an Executive Officer (Research & Policy Assistant) within its Policy, Research and Public Affairs Department. The appointment will be made on a full-time, permanent basis. The post holder may be redeployed at Executive Officer Level to another area of work within the organisation. The post-holder will initially report to the Head of Policy, Research & Public Affairs or his/her nominee.
As Research and Policy Assistant, the post holder will be required to contribute to the work of the department through a combination of administrative and research tasks that support the policy and research functions. As a staff member, the holder of the post will be expected to actively contribute to and participate in the overall development of the NDA and to promote its policies at all times and to adhere to NDA values.
