The Purpose of the Role

Trinity Business School wishes to recruit an Executive Officer who will support the Sales, Marketing and Communications team in their role to recruit students and achieve targets. The Sales, Marketing and Communications team is responsible for generating revenue from student numbers and the team manages recruitment, admissions, marketing and communications for Trinity Business School.  


Trinity Business School is at an advanced stage of a transformative high growth strategy which began in 2016. Since then it has been one of the fastest growing Business Schools in the developed world and has grown by 150%. It has AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditations, placing it amongst a select 0.6% of business schools in the World who are triple accredited. The delivery of the Trinity Business School strategy involves growth driven primarily through the growth in postgraduate student numbers.

The Sales, Marketing and Communications team is responsible for generating revenue through student recruitment. Business Schools operate in a very competitive marketplace and, in order to compete effectively, it is essential that Trinity Business School provides a fast, professional and quick response to all applicant enquiries. The Sales, Marketing and Communications Team takes applicants through the pipeline from initial lead generation through to student enrolment.  The Executive Officer will support the team in recruiting students and achieving their annual recruitment targets.

Main Responsibilities

The principal duties of the Executive Officer (Sales, Marketing & Communications) will be to:

  • Provide an exceptional customer service to prospective students. 
  • Provide administrative support for all aspects of the School’s student recruitment function which includes:
    • processing applications for the School’s growing portfolio of postgraduate programmes; 
    • responding to queries from applicants across the range of postgraduate programmes in a timely and consistent manner;
    • arranging logistics for the Sales & Marketing team;
    • supporting the administration of the School’s scholarship fund;
    • distributing pre-enrolment marketing materials to incoming students;
    • gathering information for accreditation and rankings;
    • managing the application database and entering new applications on a weekly basis;
    • working with international agents and assisting with their queries;
    • reviewing and processing commission requests from international agencies.
  • Interface with other College administration offices and external agencies.
  • Carry out day-to-day office tasks (photocopying, drafting of emails, and dissemination of information).
  • Perform other duties that will arise from time to time and as directed by the Dean of the School and Head of Business Development and Operations.

Person Requirements

The role-holder will require the following knowledge, skills and attributes for successful performance in the role.


  • Hold a European Computer Driving License (ECDL) or equivalent.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in the provision of high calibre customer support (essential).
  • Substantial experience of using MS Office applications (particularly Microsoft Excel and Word) (essential).
  • Good working knowledge and experience of the College’s administrative procedures (desirable). 

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to support the provision of an exceptional customer service to prospective students through developed communication, written emails, relationship building, and attention to detail skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with a high-level of competency in MS Office packages.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision and also to function as an active and efficient team player in a busy but dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, working under time constraints and strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to a busy working environment and lend a hand beyond normal work hours when a need arises.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and service-mindedness with the ability to interface collegially and effectively with others and foster good working relationships.
  • The ability to work as an active, efficient and helpful team player in a busy work environment (essential).
  • Ability to operate flexibly within a busy work environment and be able to shift focus when required.
