Position Description

An excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to head of up the finance function for a high-potential Irish Medical Devices company preparing for an exciting journey of commercialisation globally, initially focusing on the US market, followed by Europe and Asia. Based in Dublin HQ, and reporting directly to the CEO, role will involve:

  • Day-to-day financial control of the Company and international subsidiaries
  • Contributing to our development and growth as a company in the short, medium, and long-term
  • Developing innovative, best in class finance systems and processes
  • Managing and developing of key finance personnel to further develop and enhance existing finance and accounting operations 
  • Monitoring and reviewing annual budgets across international locations 
  • Managing monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returns, year-end compliance processes across international jurisdictions, and liaising with external third party where necessary 
  • Liaising with investors and financial institutions 
  • Management of Company Growth Share Program
  • Presenting to the executive team on a monthly basis
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

Candidate Background

Ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Qualified Accountant with audit experience, preferably Big 4 training 
  • Senior Finance Leadership experience (FC) of a scaling SME with international operations
  • Minimum of 5+ years of total experience, with 1+ years at Financial Controller level
  • FRS/IFRS experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment 
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently
