Fantastic opportunity to join Aviva Ireland as a Financial Reporting Accountant!

The role will be a senior member of the Life Management Accounting team, responsible for the delivery of all IFRS17 and Solvency II reporting to meet the requirements of the UK Regulator (PRA), Aviva UK, Aviva Group and local management.


The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Preparation of the IFRS17 technical accounting for Life Assurance business across technical provision and Tax at each reporting period

  • Preparation and review of Pillar 3 QRTs for quarterly and annual regulatory reporting

  • Providing a detailed understanding and analysis of the IFRS and SII reporting cycles including through the preparation and provision of regular MI

  • Preparation of annual accounts for Group entities and bring them through audit and governance cycles to completion

Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a qualified Accountant or equivalent who can demonstrate:

  • Experience with Solvency 2 QRT and NST reporting requirements of a life assurance entity

  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and methodology, including technical knowledge of IFRS, EIOPA SII and local Irish national specific templates under SII

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and progress multiple deliverables and to delegate effectively in a time sensitive and pressurised reporting cycle

  • A strong working knowledge of statutory, legal and regulatory frameworks and corporate governance
