Our client, a long-established multinational based in Leixlip is seeking to recruit a Health & Safety (SHEQ) Advisor.

Purpose of this position

The primary purpose of the role is to provide timely, accurate, practical, and professional SHEQ support to the TMM business across all aspects of the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) agenda including security and product stewardship where appropriate. This will be key in assisting the achievement of the company policy not to harm people or the environment

Objective of this position

The objective is to supply products and services to meet our commitments to the customer, minimise environmental waste, prevent incidents and ill-health wherever possible, otherwise to minimise their impact, learn and share any lessons.

Provide independent support for the TMM SEVESO sites assisting with the achievement of line ownership of the SHEQ agenda and the local implementation of effective process safety competence.

Provide visible leadership of the SHEQ agenda.

Required key skills (functional/technical)

  • Ability to develop capability in the company SHEQ management systems (e.g. Audit Manager, Synergi LiMSS)
  • Knowledge of applicable SHEQ and Product Stewardship legislation
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant standards requirements
  • Ability to develop a quick working knowledge of applicable company operations and operational standards

  • Maintain advanced capability in core business applicable software systems applications

Required qualifications/experience


  • Experience managing or operating under an effective and comprehensive SHEQ management system in an industrial or logistics setting
  • Experience of providing detailed interpretation and guidance of key legislative regulations.
  • Hold, or is willing to obtain, NEBOSH Diploma
  • Hold, or is willing to obtain, Level 2 assessor competence where required
  • Grounding in quality management principles


  • Other relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience of working in a Major Accident Hazard industry
  • NEBOSH Specialist Diploma e.g. Environmental Management
  • Six sigma expertise.
  • Chartered Quality Institute unit “Quality Management – level 3”
