My client provides healthcare products and services that help protect vulnerable lives across the country. They have a vacancy of a Secondary Operations Manager.

How you’ll make an impact:

This key role, inside the Home Healthcare business, will define and develop the strategy and tactical plans and projects to have efficient secondary operations. You will ensure the delivery of all day to day activities in the Secondary Operations (scheduling unit, field technicians teams, regional depot’s management on the island of Ireland). You, together with your team, will be visible at all sites working with local operations teams to ensure exceptional levels of patient experience while maintaining and improving all operational KPIs. You will set the strategy for Secondary Operations, ensuring the completion of patient home visits in coherence with our customer contractual KPI’s (installations, servicing, removals…) and the highest in class quality. You will bring and develop the projects you define and are agreed to ensure our service excellence and improve our efficiency in the service delivery.

Example activities you will complete:

● Supporting the Chief Operating Officer and senior management team’s vision and process ideals.

● Work proactively with other department leaders to create an aligned vision and deliver an improvement of end to end services to our patients and customers.

● Ensuring the effective running of all aspects of the Secondary Operations business unit with your teams.

● Creating, monitoring, deploying and maintaining projects and teams.

● Managing the departmental distribution of resources and equipment to optimize performance in the short, medium and long term.

● Driving and managing projects and changes in the organization with focus on your teams and relevant parties e.g. processes.

● Illustrating effective leaderships skills in the day to day management of all activities

● Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes including the proposal of some efficiency and implementing them.

● Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.

● Having procedures documented to ensure our robustness and for third-party monitoring.

● Reviewing workloads and people power to ensure targets are met.

● Ensuring employees working on processes are operating efficiently.

● This is not an exhaustive list and other duties may be required to be carried out in line with business needs.

Essential Skills

● Experience in the Private Healthcare sector

● Proven track record of delivering all targeted operational KPIs year on year

● Experience in people management and communication skills.

● Proven knowledge of Profit & Loss accounts (e.g. CAPEX & OPEX Management)

● Evidence of continuous CPD

● Knowledge of delivering continuous improvement activities.

● Experience in transformation projects

● Able to evidence clear operational strategies.

● Evidence for successful management of change

● Ability to deliver operational efficiencies while maintaining service levels/delivering service improvements.
