Reporting to: Payment & Collections Transformation Manager

Bord Gáis Energy generates, sells and trades energy for use in the Republic of Ireland. We’ve been in operation since 1976 and today we supply over 750,000 customers with energy in Ireland. In this role you’ll assist the Payments & Collections Transformation Manager in supporting planning and prioritization activities, doing research and analysis to identify risks/opportunities that may impact the business, and making recommendations to improve operational efficiency, increase productivity, reduce organizational risk, and meet strategic objectives.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in payments and collections, preferably in the utility industry. You’ll have proven experience in preparing reports, analysing trends and providing insights to the business to drive process improvement initiatives . About the Role

  • Responsible for effective reporting and identifying KPIs and SLAs for the business
  • Independently perform research and root cause analyses of complex issues, participate in development of potential solutions, and make recommendations to ensure accurate and timely resolution
  • Define and maintain process controls and audits
  • Deliver and support change management activities for projects and/or change initiatives
  • Work with business subject matter experts and vendors to validate, understand, prioritize, and document business requirements
  • Assist in identifying inefficiencies throughout our processes and propose effective solutions
  • Work with Collections and Payments manager and 3rd party vendors to ensure effective processes and paths that suit business needs
  • Assist in the implementation of effective processes to improve overall efficiencies

About You

  • You’ll have proven change management and process improvement experience
  • Experienced in preparing reports and analysing trends to provide insights to the business
  • Knowledge of collections and credit management processes
  • Analytical thinker with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders from across the business
  • Excellent understanding of process efficiency with improvement mindset
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI essential
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
