We are recruiting for a Product Consultant – Insurance to join Marketing Team on a 12 month FTC within Aviva, this role would suit someone coming from an Insurance Sales Support or Customer experience environment, looking to take a step up and gain more exposure to the wider Product consulting landscape.

The team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of our unit linked propositions. This includes a wide range of items such as product features, marketing material, on-line tools and supports, commercial support, project management, internal and external relationship management and the successful candidate would be required to support across all activity.

Candidate will be responsible for supporting in the delivery of product enhancements, tactical campaigns and promotion of our pension and investment menu and will work with the proposition’s owners within the team, our distribution team, marketing, and the investments team to support the delivery.

To ensure we deliver a range of tactical campaigns to support our product targets through 2022 and to support other functions within the business in embedding the key messages relating to our propositions.

Location is flexible across any of our Ireland sites: Galway, Cherrywood (Dublin) and Cork. you will benefit from Aviva’s smart working arrangements, with a mix of home and office working.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To support other functions within the business in meeting our BAU and regulatory requirements during 2022.

  • Delivering key tactical initiatives across our propositions range.

  • Delivery of marketing campaigns to support our propositions.

  • Development, delivery, and execution of future product developments across all product lines.

  • Provide on-going technical and commercial support for Aviva staff and brokers.

  • Market analysis including reviewing the new products/fund launches, Aviva’s performance, Marketing, and promotion

  • Meeting agreed business KPIs including

    • Sales

    • Retention

    • Retirement reinvestments

    • Profitability

  • Reporting and regulatory updates

    • Maintaining factsheets

    • Maintaining our tools and calculators and the inputs into these

    • Updates to KIIDs for savings and investments

    • Fund risk ratings

    • Investment flow reports

  • Group Pensions Product Management including

    • Maintaining our corporate pensions quotes mailbox and group pensions pipeline

    • Maintaining our commissions record and supporting on commission related queries

Skills & Experience required

The successful candidate will need to have a strong knowledge of the local Life & Pensions Industry and investment market available to brokers and their clients. A technical understanding of the investment landscape in Ireland would be advantageous.

  • QFA qualification or similar an advantage but not a requirement.

  • Excellent understanding of financial drivers & metrics.

  • Be highly organized and capable of strategic planning and managing complex activities.

  • Experience of driving a high-performance culture.

  • Experience of working across many distribution channels and building distributor relationships.

  • Experience of proposition development including market research and application and business case development.

  • Experience of product development and project/change discipline.

  • Experience of effectively managing key risk and controls and compliance with business standards.
