Psychiatric Nurse

We are delighted to be partnering with one of Dublin’s major mental health services, to hire a Psychiatric Nurse for their dedicated team in South Dublin. The last couple of years have been especially tough for mental health professionals and our client promises a supportive work environment with a focus on staff well-being.

Many patients referred are those with the most complex and challenging mental health needs and neuropsychiatric disorders, including a specialist service for Huntington’s Disease. A full multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide individualised care with the aim of improving patient’s quality of life. The facility is set in beautiful surroundings and refurbished to the highest standard, making it a pleasant place for both staff and service users. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain trusting interpersonal relationships with patients, their families and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with all team members and delegate as appropriate
  • Safe medication management
  • Accurate documentation of care
  • Advocate on behalf of the patients and their families
  • Provide emotional support for patients

Requirements for a successful candidate:

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse
  • Newly graduated Psych Nurses and General Nurses with an interest in mental health services are welcome to apply
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential
