I’m hiring for R&D engineers to work on all stages of development encompassing early stage R&D, identifying user needs, scoping projects, design control process/cycle, development steps associated with product design etc.

This company has a Global R&D structure which is headquartered in Limerick and spread across multiple different disciplines/procedural areas with a vast range of ongoing projects.

This is a collaborative environment where you will be empowered and will get to work all the way through from collaborating with the physicians to come up with solutions to solve their problems, to concept development, developing prototypes, doing the testing, taking the product to clinical testing, through regulatory and all the way to the market.

This role is based in Limerick but will allow up to 3 days working from home in addition to flexible working hours.

Responsibilities of the role (Surmised)

  • Design & development, of innovative devices
  • Product testing and evaluation
  • Work closely with Process Development Engineering to introduce/develop new equipment and production processes as required for any new manufacturing techniques
  • Project status communication and reporting
  • Contribute to innovation and creativity within team


  • You’ll need your level 8 degree in mechanical/biomedical engineering with 2+ years’ of experience
  • Project planning skills
  • Knowledge of medical device quality & regulatory systems and medical device directives (ISO13485 and FDA CFR 820), EU Medical Device Regulation 2017/745
