The Role: 

This role will require an individual with an excellent technical aptitude and the ability to understand engineering concepts across the full spectrum including electrical, structural, and mechanical engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales and marketing of the full suite of Liebherr Container Cranes products.  

Key Elements of the Role:

  • Preparation of technical and commercial documentation and general arrangement drawings associated with tenders and contracts.
  • Liaising with relevant senior engineers within the Design Department to accurately apply technical strategy when necessary. 
  • Providing technical sales assistance during meetings and presentations.
  • Preparation and analysis of contract documentation for signature.
  • Co-ordinating the transfer of Contract and Technical information of the product sold to all relevant departments within the company for project planning, design, manufacturing, transport, and installation purposes.
  • Carrying out costing calculations for Tenders.
  • Establishing new and maintaining existing, relationships with customers and agents in the Area/region of responsibility.
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Travelling on business in Ireland and overseas when required.
  • Other ancillary duties associated with the position.

Qualifications/Experience/ Competencies: 

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar demanding role is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated with a good aptitude for technical concepts and numerate.
  • Excellent communication, reporting skills and strong attention to detail.
  • IT skills: Microsoft office suite.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to listen to the customer’s desires and concerns and recommend solutions.
  • Self-confident and persuasive when making sales presentations.
