Our client is the market leader in the provision of drug and alcohol testing services, working to ensure safety and wellbeing in the workplace.  Due to the increased recognition of the importance of drug and alcohol testing in the workplace and our client’s testing services continued success, they are seeking to expand their Ireland sales team with the addition of highly motivated and target driven individual. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the sales and promotion of our client’s testing services throughout a wide range of industries, developing business with current customers as well as winning new business.

This position is home based however Dublin area is preferred; travel will be required within the region and potentially further afield. 

The role:

– Prepare and use a planned sales presentation, designed to achieve maximum results from available sales opportunities – customer greeting, qualifying, handling objections, product presentation and demonstrations, closing and follow-up in line with our client’s sales process
– Develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of our client’s products within their designated product group, together with prices and key features of major competitors in their market
– Utilise our client’s CRM system on a daily basis, to plan calls, when visiting customers and to capture customer and market information
– Handle all customer queries and complaints within 24 hours, in a manner that ensures they are resolved
– Provide reports as required on all sales activities including follow-ups, new clients, etc.
– Ensure accurate sales forecasts are generated where possible
– Maintain in depth records of all sales activities, ensuring that all paperwork is completed accurately and on time
– Complete an acceptable number of visits per week
– Attend product and sales training courses / conferences as necessary to establish and maintain an adequate level of product knowledge and to keep updates, particularly on new products
– Participate in planning sale campaigns and promotions to maximise sales penetration
– Planning, organisation and attending of scientific meetings, seminars and exhibitions
– Reporting of field gathered intelligence to the marketing department
– Track and record weekly expenditure in line with company policy
– Ensure their company car is maintained in an acceptable condition
– Adhere to the company’s positive work environment policies, health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
– Comply with company legislation as set out in the conditions of employment

Your Profile:

Essential: 

– Be qualified to at least degree level
– Possess a full driving license
– Be flexible, as the nature of this position will require you to work such hours as deemed necessary to complete your responsibilities

Desirable
– Sales experience
– Computer skills in the use and application of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
– Practical experience in a clinical or veterinary laboratory
– Be able to communicate in English both verbally and written
