About this Role:

As part of Roche’s commitment to continued patient care we are now recruiting for a highly motivated Technical Sales Specialist within the Roche Molecular Pathology team focusing on our histopathology portfolio.

This is a key role within the team promoting the patient centric value proposition of our oncology portfolio within public and private Cellular Pathology/Histology laboratories.

You will be reporting to the Molecular Pathology sales manager while working alongside the wider commercial and applications teams.

This is a field based position (located anywhere in the Republic of Ireland) for a 12 month fixed term contract: covering the Republic of Ireland plus occasional business travel into Northern Ireland.

You will join a team of over 50 employees based in Ireland who work across customer facing roles including; sales, customer account management, technical services and health care development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Interaction with all stakeholders in the histopathology department to foster a culture of co creation and partnership through the One Roche Oncology vision
  • Identify and progress business opportunities in new customer sites
  • Develop innovative strategies to retain and grow existing Roche sites
  • Support the team in providing training, onsite and remote troubleshooting and applications support when required
  • Maintain individual sales skills and technical knowledge to company standards
  • Prepare and communicate accurate forecasts to enable the business to plan effectively
  • Ensure that all administration is completed in a timely and accurate manner, without compromising direct customer management and interaction

Who you are:

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree educated in Biomedical science or a related discipline
  • Experience in a Cellular Pathology/Histology laboratory
  • Full clean Irish driving license
  • Reside in the Republic of Ireland or be willing to relocate

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and In Situ Hybridisation (ISH) techniques
  • Experience in Primary staining (H&E, Special Stains)  
  • Experience in digital pathology
