Scope of the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the very heart of DCT’s ambitious plans for growth and development over the coming years. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximising the Trust’s potential at an exciting and crucial point in its history, as we implement a new strategic plan and significant new programmes in the areas of customer care, marketing, social media and branding.

Hours

37.5 hours (Full-Time Permanent), 5 days per week, 

Key Areas of Responsibility 

Operational

Playing a key role in driving the work of the Office of Strategic Development and providing administration support to the Director of Strategic Development:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day activities in relation to implementation of DCT’s Strategic Plan 2021-2024 and the DCT Marketing & Sales Strategy
  • In co-operation with the Director of Strategic Development, working with all relevant departments and staff members to ensure we succeed in the objectives of the Strategic Plan and the Marketing & Sales Strategy, with implementation of the new Customer Care Programme a key priority
  • Liaising and assisting with outside specialists (e.g. Funeral Directors, graphic designers, suppliers of marketing materials) as outlined by the Director of Strategic Development
  • Assisting the Director of Strategic Development in designing of brochures and other materials as requested
  • Assisting the Director of Strategic Development to ensure that the DCT brand identity is fully utilised and protected across the organisation
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Manager to assist with social media and other marketing campaigns for both the Funeral Services element and the Experience Glasnevin element of the business
  • Management and reporting on analytics from the CODE and SAP systems
  • Diary management and some PA support to the Director of Strategic Development

Person Requirements

  • At least 2 years in a relevant sales/customer service role
  • A strong sense of initiative and a natural self-starter
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in all Microsoft programmes – Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Calm under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Proven track record of excellence in administration support
