Our client an Irish company that provides services to children and young adults in the care and disability sectors are looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team. The role will be primarily based in the Sligo office but a hybrid model working 2 days from home each week is available.

Financial Reporting and Control Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Completion of Monthly management accounts
  • Assist with the Completion of the Monthly Group Consolidation
  • Assist with the Completion of the Yearly budget
  • Assist with the Yearly external audit
  • Assist with the payroll review process
  • Assist with improving and maintaining internal controls in the Finance team
  • Ad-hoc commercial project work including tender submissions
  • Management of direct reports

Skills and Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • 3-5 years post qualification experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly analytical with the ability to delve into the details to drive improvements in the business
  • Sound commercial judgement with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy and work with management team on their commercial issues
  • Passion and commitment with high personal integrity and a practical, pragmatic and hardworking ethic
