Purpose of the Role:

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of POCT services in CHI at Crumlin (including support to CHI UCC at Connolly) with the ultimate aim of achieving compliance with ISO 22870 Point of Care Testing Requirements for Quality and Competence, and ISO Medical Laboratories – Particular Requirements for Quality And Competence standards.

Essential Criteria:

Candidates must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the post, possess:

  • Masters degree in Biomedical Science as recognised by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine or a recognised qualification at least equivalent to the previous-as recognised by ACSLM.
  • Be a Fellow, or be eligible for Fellowship, of the ACSLM (Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
  • Possess at least 4 years’ experience working as a Medical Scientist.
  • Must be CORU registered.
