The Hospital is now inviting applications for the following post:

Permanent Full Time Senior Perinatal Mental Health Social Worker (1 WTE) 

The primary purpose of this Senior Perinatal Mental Health Social Worker (SPMHSW) post is to provide a recovery orientated, client centered social work service to women in the perinatal period who have moderate to severe mental health difficulties/illnesses. 

The Senior Perinatal Mental Health Social Worker( SPMHSW) is a member of the hub-based specialist Perinatal Mental Health team for the hospital group. A key function is close working with multidisciplinary colleagues in other hubs to ensure a seamless service is provided for women and their families. 

Candidates must by the latest date of application:

  • Be registered in the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
  • Have 3 years relevant post qualification experience, of which  at least 2 years’ experience in Adult Mental Health.
  • Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, professional and managerial ability)  for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
