A Senior Supply Chain Project Associate – Ship & Distribute is required to join a leading global pharmaceutical business based in Cork. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant Supply Chain Project Team where you will play your part in making a difference for people the world over by supporting the business as it discovers, develops, and delivers medicines that help people live longer, healthier and more active lives.

This role will primarily focus on Transportation Management Solution covering Transportation Planning (TP), Transportation Execution (TE), and Transportation Cost Management (TCM). The position responsibilities focus on the usability of SAP and connected systems. While this position will perform no IT technical configuration or SAP programming work, configuration knowledge and SAP implementation experience is strongly desirable.

The Role

  • Participate in cross-functional projects or large Ship & Distribute projects
  • Lead small and medium projects, utilizing project management techniques as appropriate
  • Support Design and development of business process and technical solutions to the global SAP environment in partnership with information technology and business users
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design, testing, documentation, and training activities for projects impacting Ship & Distribute Business Partnering and Innovation
  • Work with process owners, controllers, Corporate groups, management, and auditors to ensure the system is compliant to all external requirements and internal productivity targets
  • Provide initial consulting and problem resolution to end-users related to Ship & Distribute questions and issues
  • Understand basic SAP role group design and security authorizations; engage security experts as needed to ensure sensitive information is protected
  • Provide Ship & Distribute business process and SAP training and formal knowledge transfer around key integration points and cross-functional implications of processes.

The Person

  • An undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with business process knowledge and experience in Supply Chain
  • Strong SAP (or similar) and TMS skills
  • SAP related project, consulting, problem resolution, or power user experience is preferred
  • Ability to appropriately diagnose SAP and business problems, select or create alternative solutions, and effectively implement the solution
