Fresh Start is the longest existing Private Provider of Residential Social Care in Ireland with numerous centers throughout the Leinster and Munster regions. We have a proven track record in delivering positive outcomes for the children and young people we look after. The needs and views of the children and young people we look after are central to the work we undertake.

We are delighted to announce the development of 2 Pilot Stepdown Services, in partnership with TUSLA Child and Family Agency, commencing with a Centre opening in Kildare on 1st September 2022 and the second Centre in Longford in January 2023.  These services will have a maximum 12-month length of stay for children and young people and will provide an alternative to children and young people whose needs cannot currently be met in mainstream provision, which is the primary Residential Service provided within the Republic of Ireland. It is an exciting opportunity to work in and establish a Project that will provide an alternative option for these children and young people. The Project will be structured and very programme-orientated, including the children and young people having access to significant outdoor and recreational programmes, as well as in-house education provision. The focus of the therapeutic programme will be utilising the Trauma Informed Model of Care, with particular emphasis on building secure and trusting relationships with the children and young people and also incorporating a positive Psychology approach, which is strengths orientated.
