We currently have exciting opportunities for a ***Supervising Pharmacist Manager*** to join our team in Super Value, Clontarf East, Dublin 3, D03 H6C5, Mon- Sat Role

Key Responsibilities

  • To operate the dispensary in accordance with all the legal responsibilities pertaining to the profession of pharmacy 
  • To exercise all aspects of law, ethics and codes of practice as laid down by the Irish Pharmaceutical Society.
  • To provide a safe and efficient dispensing service to all customers.
  • To ensure the safe and effective delivery of medicines to all customers
  • To interact with other health professionals
  • Active management of the Monthly submissions to Payment Boards
  • Pro-active management and follow up of the claims rejected
  • To build and maintain relationships with local Doctors and other health professionals
  • Any other projects and duties where they arise 

Management of Team Development & Performance

  • To ensure all team members are aware of and understand their roles and responsibilities in the pharmacy.
  • To set realistic and challenging objectives and goals for all team members.
  • To lead the team to be productive by building a culture of trust, openness and support.
  • To quickly identify poor performers and respond in a proactive manner using the support of the Area Manager and/or the Human Resources Department.
  • To be up to date with all company Human Resources Policies (i.e. The Colleague Handbook)
  • Encourage colleague development through delegation of responsibilities.
  • Actively support the Company training plan for the development of each individual.
  • Observe team performance and give constructive feedback to individuals ensuring that all individuals are given access to Training & Development.
  • Interview, select and induct new members of staff as necessary in line with company procedures.
  • Actively participate in the care scheme and ensure all staff are aware of the Pharmacy’s goals and progress.
  • Hold regular staff meetings and ensure all staff have the opportunity to contribute
  • Any other duties which the Company deems suitable to the position 

Company Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all paper work e.g. H.R Forms, Rosters, Profit Enquires.
  • Ensure that all colleagues are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Any other duties which the Company deems suitable to the position 

Dispensary

  • To ensure that the dispensary is operated in accordance with all the legal responsibilities pertaining to the profession of pharmacy 
  • To exercise all aspects of law, ethics and codes of practice as laid down by the Irish Pharmaceutical Society.
  • To ensure that a safe and efficient dispensing service is provided to all customers in accordance with Lloydspharmacy’s guidelines.
  • To ensure the safe and effective delivery of medicines to all customers
  • To interact with other health professionals
  • To ensure that the Monthly submissions to Payment Boards are actively managed
  • Ensure the pro-active management and follow up of the claims rejected
  • To work with the Pharmacist to build and maintain relationships with local Doctors and other health professionals
  • To work with the Pharmacist to seek to acquire new business through proactively approaching Nursing Homes and other relevant institution
  • Any other duties which the Company deems suitable to the position

Essential Criteria

Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Must hold a PSI approved Pharmacy Qualification and be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
  • Ability to deal with high volume dispensing
